Veronica empowers Native and Indigenous communities by building culturally appropriate entrepreneurial and small business capacity.

Veronica Hix is the Executive Director of ONABEN, located in Portland, OR and Tulsa, OK. Previously, Veronica was the Entrepreneurial Development Manager for the Cherokee Nation. Today, Veronica actively participates in the economic development activities of tribe’s throughout the United States, and advocates for the importance of financial empowerment initiatives in Native communities. A member of the Board of Directors of the Association for Enterprise Opportunity, Veronica is a champion for small business. Veronica is a two-time winner of the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development’s 40 Under 40 Award, and was previously named the Minority Supplier Development Council’s Advocate of the Year Award, and led the ONABEN Team to win the Education Program of the Year Award presented by the NAFOA. Her hobbies include spending time with her children, traveling, writing, and cooking. Veronica attended RSU, in Oklahoma, and currently resides in Tulsa, OK.
