Sandra Nathan has extensive executive leadership experience in nonprofits, government and philanthropy. She served as a Department Head for the City of Oakland, and the City and County of San Francisco, as well as Deputy County Executive for Santa Clara County. In the nonprofit sector, Sandra has worked at the national policy level as a Legislative Representative for AARP, and Senior Vice President for the National Council on Aging in Washington, DC. Within philanthropy, Sandra served as CEO of the Richmond Children’s Foundation in Richmond, California, where she led the organization to become a community foundation; and served as Vice President of Grants and Loans for the Marin Community Foundation; and she is currently the Senior Vice President for the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona. Sandra serves on the Board of Directors of Northern California Grantmakers, Bay Area Black United Fund, and Tohono Chul Park Foundation.
