Roxie Jerde is President & CEO of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County (CFSC), located in Sarasota, FL. She have been leading CFSC since March 2011. Her prior career experiences include: Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, SVP of Donor Relations and Education Hallmark Cards, Director of Marketing for National Accounts Empire Candles, Director of Marketing and Product Development First National Bank of Kansas City; Bankcard Center Sales Manager JC Penney; Department Manager Board experience includes currently serving as: Southeastern Council of Foundations, Trustee Florida Philanthropic Network, Community Foundation Leadership Team past Chair and current member Wetherington Foundation, Board member Former Board experience: International Women’s Forum Suncoast Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault Chair Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Greater Kansas City Affiliate Chair Hand in Hand Folk Art Chair Greater Kansas City Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association President Junior League of Johnson and Wyandotte Counties. She served on a working group of philanthropic leaders from across the US and Great Britain convened by the Hewlett Foundation to advance how to educate donors to be more strategic philanthropists.

Roxie and her husband are avid recreational bicyclists and have ridden 22 RAGBRAIs, the Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa. Roxie also enjoy yoga, reading, traveling and time with friends and family. She was awarded the Women in Power by the National Committee of Jewish Women; Women of Light Award from the Women’s International Conference of Westcoast Center for Human Development. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a BBA in Marketing and Management and from the University of Missouri Kansas City with a MBA in Finance and Organizational Behavior. Roxie is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, business honorary fraternity. She was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota and currently lives in Sarasota, FL.
