Patrick Horvath is Deputy Vice President of Programs and Director of Economic Opportunity at The Denver Foundation. The Denver Foundation’s Economic Opportunity program seeks to foster interconnected, culturally vibrant communities where low-income residents have the tools and opportunities to thrive. For 12 years he was also director of The Denver Foundation’s Strengthening Neighborhoods Program, which works with residents of low-income neighborhoods to help them improve and strengthen their communities. He also represents The Denver Foundation on the steering committee of Mile High Connects, a cross-sector equity collaborative housed at the  Foundation that is working to insure the multi-billion dollar investment in the Denver region’s mass transit system promotes equity and access to opportunity for all the region’s residents. He is current board chair of Grassroots Grantmakers, a national network of funders and community based organizations working to strengthen resident-led community building and grassroots civic engagement. Prior to coming to The Denver Foundation he was Associate Director of the Urban Justice Center in New York City, where he worked for almost thirteen years as an attorney providing civil legal services to homeless adults. He is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School. He and his partner Michele Sienkiewicz have four children.
