Standing left a 16-year career in international business to embark on a life changing journey working in rural tribal communities and grass roots organizing. She has never looked back! It was during this time, she was able to draw upon her unique and diverse experiences from business and international travel to move into organizational development. Her work is centered in rural tribal communities; specializing in small business development, community and economic development, nonprofit startups, research projects, evaluation, assessment, market plans, strategic planning for native arts, and cooperative development. She is a small business owner of a family run gourmet food business. Since 1991 she has served on ten native-led, and three non-native boards. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, travel, cooking, volunteering and beadwork. She holds a BA in education and a MBA in International Business. She was born in Seattle, Washington and has made her home in Minnesota.
