Lori harnesses the resources and reach of North Dakota’s state’s network of electric cooperatives to develop innovative, cooperative projects supporting the health and vitality of communities across the state.

Lori Capouch is the rural development director for NDAREC in Mandan, ND where she oversees their rural development services. Previously, she was executive director for the ND Agricultural Products Utilization Commission, a state agency that provides grant funding for the high-risk startup stages of development. Lori provides administrative services to the Rural Development Finance Corporation and the State Board of Agricultural Research and Education. She serves on the boards of CooperationWorks (vice chair), Dakotas America, LLC (secretary/treasurer) and The Cooperative Foundation. In her spare time, Lori enjoys yoga, reading, playing with grandchildren and running. Lori holds a BS in business management from the University of Mary, Bismarck and is a certified economic development finance professional through the National Development Council Lori and her husband, Kurt, make their home in Bismarck, ND. They have two grown children and two grandchildren.
