Joe Bartmann is Vice President of Community Innovation with Dakota Resources, a non-profit based in small town South Dakota that helps rural leaders empower their communities through entrepreneurial action. Joe co-founded several community initiatives, including a non-profit that helps teachers create garden classrooms, local networking events around environmental stewardship, and a team of design professionals who volunteer three days each year in a different rural community. He is co-owner of Weaver Co-design Studio, a change process design and facilitation shop, and hikes South Dakota’s prairies and Black Hills as often as he can. Joe and his wife Jaimie are raising four daughters in Montrose, South Dakota, population 490.
