Brittney Gaspari Vice President, Community Investment, The Winston-Salem Foundation Forsyth County, NC Shift Capital | Community Capital, Funding / Investment Brittney Gaspari serves as Vice President, Community Investment at The Winston-Salem Foundation, a community foundation serving Forsyth County, NC. Brittney joined the Foundation in 2004 as a program officer and served as Director of Community Grants from 2007-2016. During Brittney’s tenure at the Foundation she helped to launch the Foundation’s youth philanthropy program (Youth Grantmakers in Action) and has participated in community projects such as the development of the Forsyth County Community Food Consortium and a study of Forsyth County’s information ecosystem. She has served as the Foundation’s staff liaison to the Hispanics in Philanthropy’s Funders’ Collaborative for Strong Latino Communities for the past 14 years. Brittney cares deeply about high-quality public education, environmental stewardship, immigrant integration, and asset-based community development, and has focused much of her volunteer activities in these areas. Brittney currently serves on the boards of Crosby Scholars and Forsyth Futures. Born in Minnesota, Brittney also lived in Iowa, Colorado, and West Virginia before settling in Winston-Salem, NC in 2003. Brittney received her BA in International Studies and Foreign Languages from West Virginia University (WVU) and was fortunate to have the opportunity to study abroad in Ecuador and Cuba. She also received her Master’s degree in Public Administration from WVU, with a concentration in nonprofit management. Brittney and her husband Jamie share their home with two hilarious children (a 9-year-old daughter, Lena, and a 4-year-old son, Jude) and two dogs (Kevin and Tiny).
