Adele London Director of Business Development, Good Work Network New Orleans, LA Accelerate Collaboration, Prioritize Equity | Advocacy, Community Economic Development, Food and Agriculture, Incubator / Accelerator, Technical Assistance Adele builds capacity for small businesses in order to strengthen and sustain New Orleans. Adele directs business development and the market access program ConnectWorks at Good Work Network in New Orleans. She holds more than 15 years of experience working with small businesses and micro-entrepreneurs, a BA in Political Science and Sociology from Loyola University, and a JD from Loyola University. Adele believes that building the capacity of small businesses is critical to growing and sustaining of New Orleans’ economy and building stronger communities. She is deeply rooted in her community and strives daily to support the small businesses of Greater New Orleans. Adele was our Featured Fellow in March 2015. She has connected business owners to contract opportunities in both the public and private sectors. Adele has previously managed federal funding under the Housing Authority of New Orleans’ Resident Loan Corporation, a nonprofit loan fund established to assist public housing and Section 8 micro-entrepreneurs. She has coordinated the FDIC’s annual Assets for Economic Inclusion conference for five years, a convening of more than 300 small business owners, regional banks, and other small business development service providers. Adele has coordinated multiple Minority Vendor Fairs, an Entrepreneurs’ Institute, and has developed Hands-On Learning Lab, as well as Small Business Boot Camp training modules and materials currently in use by Good Work.
